Punjab Police Performance Report for January 2024 Released

    In a relentless pursuit of justice and safety, the Punjab Police, under the strategic guidance of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, conducted intelligence-based combing operations across all districts throughout January 2024. This proactive initiative aimed to eradicate criminal activities, resulting in the apprehension of thousands of offenders and the recovery of significant amounts of illicit substances and stolen property.

    Punjab Police Performance Report January 2024 Highlights:

    Drug Raids and Arrests:

    Conducted 6500 raids on drug dealers’ hideouts.
    Registered 3650 cases against criminal elements.
    Apprehended 3660 accused individuals.
    Recovered 2030 kg of chars, 39 kg of heroin, 08 kg of Ice, and 60400 liters of liquor.

    Property and Cash Recovery:

    Seized a substantial amount, including 286 million cash, 92 tola gold, and 263 million worth of stolen items.
    Recovered 1550 motorcycles and vehicles, 730 mobile phones, and 170 cattle.

    Illegal Arms Crackdown:

    Confiscated 2855 pistols, 252 rifles, 35 revolvers, 231 guns, and 118 Kalashnikovs.
    Apprehended 8310 proclaimed offenders, 5870 Court absconders, and 2266 target offenders.

    Gang Arrests and Recovery:

    Arrested 735 dangerous criminal gangs, recovering a total of 183 million rupees.

    Public Services and Traffic Management:

    Issued 71780 Citizen Certificates, 15025 Tenancy Registrations, 66030 Verifications, and 9864 Loss Reports from Police Khidmat Centers.
    Traffic police issued licenses to 12 lakh 93 thousand 900 citizens and collected 459 million in fines for law violations.

    Anti-smog Operations:

    Implemented 18410 challans and impounded 8050 vehicles in police stations.
    Imposed fines totaling Rs. 60 lakh as part of the anti-smog initiatives.
