Islamabad Schools 4-Day Holiday Amidst General Elections Craze!

Federal Education Ministry Announces 4-Day Election Break for Islamabad Schools

In anticipation of the upcoming general elections nationwide, the Federal Ministry of Education has announced a four-day holiday for schools in Islamabad. The break will extend from February 6th to February 9th, providing students and educators with an extended weekend.

All private and public schools in the capital city will resume classes on Saturday, February 10th, following the conclusion of the election hiatus. The official notification regarding these election holidays was issued by the Federal Ministry on Thursday.

It’s worth noting that since many schools in Islamabad typically observe Saturdays as a regular holiday, students will return to their classrooms on Monday, February 12th.

This move aligns with the broader trend across Pakistan, as both Punjab and Sindh have already declared the closure of educational institutions in their respective provinces during the same period. The decision is aimed at ensuring the safety and convenience of students and staff during the election process.

Additionally, the announcement coincides with the observance of Kashmir Day on February 5th, which has been declared a public holiday nationwide. Consequently, most educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, will experience a week-long closure, spanning from February 5th to February 11th.

These strategic breaks not only accommodate the democratic process but also provide an extended respite for students, allowing them to engage in civic activities, while ensuring a smooth and safe electoral environment across the country.
