Quetta to Peshawar Train Cancelled Today: Jaffar Express Disruptions

In a significant turn of events, travel plans have been disrupted as the Jaffar Express, en route from Quetta to Peshawar, has been unexpectedly cancelled due to the prevailing situation in Mach. Adding to the inconvenience, the Harnai train, scheduled from Sibi to Harnai, has also been affected, causing a ripple effect in the region’s railway operations.

Sources report that the Jaffar Express, bound for Quetta, is being halted at Jacobabad, a measure taken by railway officials in response to the unfolding circumstances. As the security scenario remains volatile, officials are closely monitoring the situation and will reassess train departures once conditions show signs of improvement.

This disruption follows a tragic incident in Balochistan, where the Mach and Kolpur complexes were targeted in a deadly attack. Nine terrorists, including three suicide bombers, were neutralized in the operation. Regrettably, four valiant security forces soldiers and two civilians lost their lives during the intense exchange of gunfire.

The Pakistan Army Public Relations Department (ISPR) has confirmed that the assault on the Mach and Kolpur complexes occurred on the night of January 29 and 30. The nation mourns the loss of lives and stands united against such acts of violence. As authorities respond to the crisis, travelers are advised to stay informed about the evolving situation and anticipate further adjustments to railway schedules in the coming days.
